Sovereign Hill has an obligation to check and record the identification of all visitors to the museum. Physical identification will be required at entry to the museum and Sovereign Hill will refuse entry to those who reside in metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire.
Our number one priority is the safety of our staff and visitors.
- With over 30,000 square metres of open space, Sovereign Hill has set a capacity limit of 1,000 visitors per day to ensure safety protocols and guidelines are observed. This will allow 20 square metres of outdoor space for each visitor
- When you visit Sovereign Hill you will notice that there are sanitisation stations throughout and attractions are clearly marked with social distancing restrictions
- Much loved activities such as performances in the Victoria theatre, our Troopers and Red Coats, panning for gold in the diggings, coach rides, the gold pour, confectionary factory and quartz mine will all be operational, but at reduced capacity. Red Hill photography and the Empire bowling saloon will be closed until further notice.
Before visiting please remember:
Sovereign Hill tickets can only be purchased through Sovereign Hill’s online booking system.
Sovereign Hill will be open to the public on Saturday June 27 and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm for the immediate future.
Please be ready to make on-site payments using a contactless bank card rather than cash.
