Sovereign Hill has an obligation to check and record the identification of all visitors to the museum. Physical identification will be required at entry to the museum and Sovereign Hill will refuse entry to those who reside in metropolitan Melbourne.
Our number one priority is the safety of our staff and visitors.
- With over 30,000 square metres of open space, Sovereign Hill has set a capacity limit of 1,000 visitors per day to ensure safety protocols and guidelines are observed. Sanitisation stations and clear social distancing signage will be active throughout the site.
- When you visit Sovereign Hill you will notice that there are sanitisation stations throughout and attractions are clearly marked with social distancing restrictions.

To welcome visitors back, adult tickets will be available at $39, children's tickets at $20 and a family of four, five or six at $99. Sovereign Hill tickets can only be purchased through Sovereign Hill’s online booking system.
Sovereign Hill will open for four consecutive days over the Melbourne Cup weekend, from Saturday 31 October to Tuesday 3 November, before moving back to weekend trading only from Saturday 7 November.
