Play Time!
Recreate popular 1850s children’s games at home by repurposing materials like take away cups, fabrics and toilet paper rolls.

  • Ball and Cup
How many times can you catch the ball in the cup?
  • Game of Graces
One of the most popular games played on the goldfields in the 1850s, especially by young girls. Throw and catch a hoop with a pair of dowel sticks held by two players. The person who catches the hoop ten times, wins!
  • Bowling
Can you knock over all the rolls in one hit?
  • DIY Hobby Horse
Our coach rides may be closed for now, but you can go for a ride with your own hobby horse!
