Due to the coronavirus all previously scheduled Education Special events and Professional Learning Programs have been impacted. 

This has resulted in the cancellation or future rescheduling of 2020 events for the foreseeable future. Please revisit our page for future updates


Gnarrwirring Ngitj Program – selected dates throughout the year
Gnarrwirring Ngitj means Learning Together in Wadawurrung language. The Sovereign Hill Museums Association, in partnership with Wadawurrung (the Wathaurung Aboriginal Corporation), is presenting an exciting program of activities designed to deepen your understanding of our shared history. More details to come.


Horses’ Birthday – Friday 31 July

Primary students help celebrate the annual Horses’ Birthday. Come and muck out the stables, groom the horses and enjoy a coach ride. A fun day for all from 10.30am to 2.30pm. (Maximum 100) $5.00 per student.


Book Week – Curious Creatures, Wild Minds – Dates to be announced
Primary schools will explore and celebrate some of the Children’s Book Council Book of the Year shortlisted books and participate in a selection of literacy and art activities using the short - listed books. Two 90 minute sessions will be conducted at 10.30am and 12.30pm daily. (Maximum 60 students per session) $5.00 per student.


Christmas in the Colonies – Monday 30th November to Friday 11th December
This ever popular activity involves students in a 90 minute experience exploring and enjoying Christmas in the 1850s. Sessions conducted at 10.30am and 12.30pm daily. (Max 80) $5.00 per student.
