Sovereign Hill is a not-for-profit, community-based cultural tourism organisation administered by The Sovereign Hill Museums Association.

Sovereign Hill’s Outdoor Museum tells the story of Ballarat’s first, fabulous goldrush decade following the discovery of gold in 1851. Covering 25 hectares of a former gold mining site, Sovereign Hill’s exhibits and interpreters will reveal the diversity of our heritage collections and stories of the goldrush days.
